Hot Tub Questions - Artesian Hot Tubs

Can I test a hot tub before I buy?
Yes.  We would encourage you to test our hot tubs before you make your final decision.  Each model is unique and you will find that the seat shapes, jet positions, etc, will vary from model to model.

How much does a hot tub cost to run?
This will depend upon the model chosen, where the tub is sited (for example if it is in a particularly windy position, etc), how often you use the tub, the temperature you choose to maintain the water, etc.  On average, for a fully insulated tub used 3-4 times per week we would expect the running costs to be in the region of £1 per day, including chemicals.

How many jets will I need in my hot tub?
This will depend on how you intend to use your hot tub.  For simple enjoyment with family and friends, you may decide upon a less expensive tub with fewer jets.  However, if you wish to use your tub for hydrotherapy massage, we suggest you discuss your individual requirements with us so we can recommend the most appropriate model and seating arrangement.  More jets doesn’t necessarily mean more power or better hydrotherapy.

Do I need a mains electric and water supply to the hot tub?
You will need a mains electric supply between 13amp and 40amp, depending on the spa you choose.  You do not need a water supply next to the hot tub, as all spas are filled and emptied using a hose.

How often will I need to change the water in my hot tub?
This will depend upon how often you use the hot tub, how many different people use it, whether users are wearing cosmetics, body lotions, hair gels/sprays, etc, and how well you maintain your water.  We can advise you based on your individual usage.

What chemicals will I need to keep my hot tub clean?
When you buy a hot tub from SplashOut, we provide a starter pack with all the chemicals you are likely to need to cover most situations.  We also give you all the information you need to maintain the water in your hot tub and provide an after-sales advisory service if you encounter any problems.  We stock a full range of hot tub and pool chemicals to cover all eventualities and these may also be bought from our online shop.

What base will I need for my hot tub?
You will need a flat, level base strong enough to take the weight of the filled hot tub.

What are the health benefits associated with hot tub use?
You can enjoy a host of health benefits ranging from simple relaxation to hydrotherapy massage and even assistance in the management of some medical conditions such as stress, arthritis and Type 2 Diabetes.  See our Health Benefits section for more details.
